I am an experienced museum mentor and have worked with venues of all sizes on a range of needs, from developing equity and diversity boards and action plans to whole organisation change. I have mentored individuals, whole teams and even a multiple museum service and feel privileged to be part of their growth journey and change making.
Mentoring is subtly different to the other consultancy work I offer, as the mentor typically acts as a sounding board or critical friend and creates a space for reflection and problem solving. In the years I have had the pleasure of developing these skills (from supporting over 25 museums as a Museum Development Officer, to working as a SEND in Museums freelancer) no one mentor journey has been the same as another, which makes this work particularly rewarding to do.
You can book me for a one off ‘MOT’ session from an hour to a full morning, or for several sessions over a period of several months if that suits you and your organisation best. All my mentoring is done online and I regularly get booked as a mentor following someone attending one of my training sessions or conference talks. My promise is to be a confidential, empathetic and open person who you can trust, combined with bringing a curiosity and confidence to challenge you to grow.
Get in touch with me to discuss this further and let’s go on a change making journey together!
