In July 2025 I published ‘The Phoenix and the Unicorn’, my memoir that doesn’t pull the punches, telling you honestly what you didn’t even know you needed to about Special Needs parenting, difference and the hardest of words – acceptance.
It charts my off road route into and through parenthood raising a child with a rare condition and complex needs. It also shows how I came to combine my lived/loved experience of museums and parenting to become an award winning changemaker in the UK’s GLAM sector on inclusion.
Sometimes the toughest journeys lead to the most beautiful and rare destinations. This book shows the backstory on how I become a Phoenix by raising my Unicorn.
